“Park Avenue Preschool is dedicated to provide a developmentally appropriate program designed to develop children’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth”.
Our school provides a positive and safe environment for children, which helps them build their confidence, independence, self-respect and respect for others. In addition, the program encourages children to enhance their critical thinking skills to draw out their creativity, curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. Park Avenue Preschool is a blend of Montessori curriculum and child-centered approach in learning. The program focuses on the interests and learning styles, which support teachers to carefully plan and create hands on learning activities for the children. The flexibility of the environment gives children the freedom to choose their learning experiences and puts them in charge to work on the materials provided.

These said materials are created based from the theme for the month as well as the interests of the children. Before working on the materials or as what we call it “jobs”, the teachers start off the class by demonstrating how to work on the jobs. Afterward, the children get to choose the jobs they want to complete, and the teachers facilitate individual or group during the academic time. The teacher acts as a guide during the learning process and not a dictator of what they need and have to learn. This alone helps children practice their independence, problem-solving skills, concentration and patience to accomplish a task at hand.
